Lodged tight for days
벽의 한 구석에
in a corner of the wall,
몇 날을 웅크리고 있던 무당벌레가
ladybug can’t resist the tree,
그 나무의 유혹을 뿌리치지 못한다.

crawling now over cold
이제 기어 오른다
light, ceramic fruits,
차가운 빛과, 세라믹 과일과
tinsel lamb and sleigh.
번쩍이는 양들과 썰매 위로.

Flies out of the tree
나무에서 날아 나온다
to try rum cake on a
캐롤 부르는 천사들이 새겨진
plate of caroling cherubs.
접시의 럼 케이크를 맛보려고.

Ends up on her back,
뒤집어져 떨어졌다
wings flared, silly girl
날개가 아우성친다
spinning over the kitchen floor.
부엌 바닥에서 빙빙 도는 장난꾸러기 여자애.

Later, between the blinds,
나중에, 창문 블라인드 사이에,
tiny bump of silhouette:
조그만 볼록한 실루엣:
a stillness against the falling snow.
내리는 눈을 배경으로 하나의 정지(靜止).

'나무'는 크리스마스 트리.
'차가운 빛'은 장식용 LED 같은 거겠죠.
'아우성'은 물론 소리를 낸다는 건 아니고 flare를 어떻게 번역하나 고민하다가 나온 겁니다.
