A Cottony Fate

Long ago, someone                                  아주 오래 전, 누군가
told me: avoid or.                                      내게 말했다, '혹은'을 피하라고. 

It troubles the mind                                    그건 개 앞에 내민 고기 조각처럼
as a held-out piece of meat disturbs a dog. 마음을 어지럽힌다.

Now I too am sixty.                                    이제 나도 60이다.
There was no other life.                             다른 인생은 없었다.
