April Midnight

Side by side through the streets at midnight,     심야의 거리를 나란히
Roaming together,                                          걷는다,

In the miraculous April weather.                       기적같은 4월의 날씨 속에.

Roaming together under the gaslight,                가스등 아래 돌아다닌다,

How the Spring calls to us, here in the city,      이 도시 속에서도 봄은 우리에 와닿는다,
Calls to the heart from the heart of a lover!        연인의 가슴의 부름이 가슴에 와닿듯!

처음에는 연인들끼리 데이트하는 건 줄 알았기 때문에 "lover-like"가 이해가 되지 않았다.
아무래도 연인 사이가 아니라고 보는 게 맞을 듯하다. 그런 사이로 발전하게 될진 모르지만
말이다. 한 사람은 춤추고 다른 사람은 구경했다는 것도 그런 걸 뒷받침한다.

"lover's gloaming"은 연인들이 으슥한 곳을 좋아하기 때문에 쓴 표현인 것 같다.
