May apple, daffodil,               메이애플, 수선화,
hyacinth, lily,                        히아신스, 백합,
and by the front                     그리고
porch steps                          현관 계단 옆에

every billowing                      온갖 너울거리는 톤의
shade of purple                     자주색, 라벤더색
and lavender lilac,                 라일락,
my mother’s favorite flower,    어머니가 가장 좋아했던 꽃,

sweet breath drifting through   달콤한 숨
the open windows:                열린 창문으로 흘러 들어온다:
perfume of memory?conduit  기억의 향수(香水),
of spring.                              봄의 통로.
